Seasons & Magic

I always end up writing about seasons. My fiction and game narratives obsess about winter. I look forward to autumn, complain about summer, and have misgivings about spring, although there are reasons to enjoy it too. I feel like magic should have a seasonality to it as well; varying methods and approaches through the year. Spring is for meditative magics, and things that involve growing or improving. Summer is the realm of chaos magic, the messy urban sort with graffiti sigils. Autumn is for talismans and gathering in. Winter is for written spells with complex diagrams and candles.
